Shillong, Mar 14: Central Agricultural University, Imphal will organise the Agri-Youth Parliament 2026 – North East Bharat from March 21 to 23 at its Imphal campus.
The event aims to create a dynamic platform bringing together agricultural youth with innovative ideas, aspiring agri-entrepreneurs, start-ups, successful innovators and role-model entrepreneurs, along with scientists, extension professionals, researchers, academicians and progressive farmers who are contributing to the conservation of traditional agricultural practices and biodiversity in the region.
The programme will seek to encourage dialogue, exchange of ideas, policy perspectives and capacity building among stakeholders to help shape a sustainable and prosperous agricultural future for North East Bharat.
The initiative also aligns with broader national developmental goals by contributing to the process of preparing a roadmap for achieving a strong agricultural and economic ecosystem in the North Eastern Region by the Amrit Kaal (2047), the university said.
Key highlights of the three-day event will include entrepreneurship-oriented interactive sessions focusing on themes such as Agri-start-ups and entrepreneurial ecosystems in North East Bharat, advancing agricultural innovation and technology acceleration, strengthening commercialization ecosystems, and promoting farm-to-market value chains and market-led agriculture.
The programme will also feature business interactions with investors and entrepreneurs, exhibitions and stalls by youth entrepreneurs and start-ups, and talks by academicians, professionals and successful entrepreneurs sharing their experiences and insights.
Applications are currently open for youth entrepreneurs, start-ups, innovative farmers, extension professionals, academicians and other stakeholders interested in participating.
