Shillong, Aug 25: A ‘Purple Fair’, an inclusive awareness event aimed at promoting the rights, empowerment and visibility of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) will be held at U Soso Tham auditorium on August 27.
The event is being organised by the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) (CRCSRE-Shillong) under the administrative control of SVNIRTAR-Cuttack, Odisha, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in collaboration with the office of Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.
The fair serves as a vibrant platform to showcase the talents, capabilities and contributions of individuals with disabilities while also engaging the wider community in conversations around accessibility, inclusion and equal opportunity.
