The residents of eight villages in the Nongtraw area under Bhoirymbong block rejoiced with the inauguration of a new health sub-centre catering to the local population.
The facility, located in Nongtraw village, was inaugurated by Umroi MLA Damanbait Lamare.
The sub-centre will serve the villages of Umsarang, Nongtraw Bangla, Lumdiengngan, Lumrit, Kyrdeng, Wah Mentait and Mawkduk.
The sub-centre was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5.5 lakhs and the project was implemented and overseen by the Village Employment Council (VEC) of Nongtraw.
