Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today distributed cheques to 77 producer groups under the FOCUS programme benefitting about 1000 farmers at a function held at St Peter’s Hall, Pyngdengrei in Nongstoiñ.
Speaking during the occasion, the chief minister informed that the producer groups will be given support amounting to Rs 71, 85,000.
He also apprised the gathering of a number of programmes of the government to benefit the farmers.
Later, the Chief Minister interacted with the farmers and the general public and addressed their queries pertaining to schemes and development of the district.
