In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise Department staff of East Khasi Hills conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where 10 cases were uncovered in February wherein 41 litres of indigenous liquor and 31.55 litres of IMFL were seized. Six people were arrested in connection with these cases under the Excise Act, a press release informed today.
