In partial modification of its order at the beginning of June, the Health and Family Welfare Department scrapped the 50-person attendee limit at weddings held in the state.
Now, the number of participants can number up to one-third of the seating capacity (including the hosts) in the venue (either church or hall).
The relaxation brings weddings in line with religious institutions, which are permitted to open from tomorrow with one-third capacity.
Other protocols relating to weddings remain the same as before.
