The Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) East Khasi Hills district arrested four suspected drug peddlers in the city, police said today.
The arrest was made yesterday evening during a swift operation carried out in Dhanketi.
The accused were identified as Pollingstar David Nongsiej alias Lease (34), Haokholal Vaite (32), Thangabui Thado (44) and Jessie Lalsangzual (33), Superintendent of Police (City), Vivek Syiem said.
While the three were arrested near a bus shed at Dhankheti, Lalsangzual was nabbed from a parking lot, near there.
Police seized 15 soap cases and three vials containing 188.40 gms of Heroin worth Rs 75 lakhs, five mobile phones, a Yamaha Ray ZR 125 scooty bearing No. A/F and cash Rs1, 64,820, Syiem said.
“A case has been registered at the Laitumkhrah police station,” he added.
