Thirty-three individuals serving in the police, fire and emergency service and home guards will receive awards for meritorious service on the occasion of Meghalaya Day 2025 tomorrow.
Fourteen police officers and personnel will receive the Governor’s Police Medal for Outstanding Service. The recipients are SP Billygraham R Marak, Deputy SP Mac Joel Marngar, Additional SP Priyanka W Sangma, Additional SP Baniateilang Diengngan, Insp Johnny F Thangkhiew, WPI Pushpa Chettri, UBSI Bekash Gurung, UBSI Rovio Nongrum, UBSI Arki Dalang Wahlang, Hav Sebrian Lyngkhoi, WPU/LNk Sengtera K Sangma, ABC Kofi Albert Pathaw, Tapash Barua and Franky Marwein.
Another 12 will receive the Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Outstanding Service. The recipients are SP Vikash Kumar, Deputy SP Spearsing Paslein, Deputy SP Balchi K Marak, Insp Baialamphrang Wanswet, WPI Balsime M Marak, WPSI Barrylang Mawthoh, WPSI Respina N Sangma, Hav Anthon R Marak, Hav Risswin Kurbah, Naik Dijen Ch Sangma, BNC Krishna Hajong and Foll Krodilson Sangma.
Four personnel of the fire and emergency service – Leading Fireman Deibormitre Lamare, Leading Fireman Biswajit G Sangma, Fireman Wonly Pohthmi and Fireman Andrian M Sangma – will receive the Chief Minister’s Disaster Response Medal for Outstanding Service.
Three personnel of the Border Wing Home Guards Shillong and Home Guards Williamnagar will receive the same award. They are Commandant PH Khongsngi, Div Commandant Sepi CR Sangma and second-in-charge B Sahkhar.
