A containment order was issued for Jongksha village after 30 people tested positive for Covid-19 there, it was announced today.
It is feared that the real number of people with the disease could be much higher as not everyone in the village was willing to be tested, it has been learnt.
Meanwhile, a containment order was also issued for three villages in South West Khasi Hills – Domjajew, Sumsir and Mawiong. It was also learnt that Umeit in Ri-Bhoi was also contained.
