The Anti Narcotic Task Force in East Khasi Hills arrested three persons yesterday, including a woman and seized ganja and alcohol, police said today.
The three persons who hail from Mizoram, identified as Sabina Lalnunmawiii (23), Lalrinmawia Chenkua(19) and Lalrosanga(28), were travelling in a Tata Yodha bearing registration number MZ01/Z 3654 with the contraband items hidden in a green sofa set.
Police said they were travelling from Shillong to Mizoram along with 10.455 kg ganja and 235 bottles of alcohol.
Two mobile phones, a driving licence and the vehicle were also seized.
A case has been registered at Mawryngkneng police station under the NDPS Act.
