Twenty-five youth engaged in masonry from four villages in East Jaiñtia Hills district, completed the 40-day skill development training programme and were felicitated at Umkiang yesterday.
The training programme was organised by the Dalmia Bharat Foundation through its CSR initiative in collaboration with NABARD.
Participants of the training are youth from Umkiang, Sonapyrdi, Donabhoi and Pyrtakuna who were trained on house and wall construction works.
Certificates and tools required for construction were handed to the youth at the community hall, Umkiang which was also attended by representatives of Dalmia, waheh shnongs of Umkiang Lasting Pala, secretary Nicholas Lyngdoh, waheh shnong of Donabhoi Sajan Kathar and others.
