Twenty students studying at the Tura Don Bosco School and staying in a hostel together have tested positive for Covid-19, it was revealed by the West Garo Hills district administration.
The news came in after the official Health Department Covid-19 statistics were released, which do not include the 20 students.
The driver at the hostel has also tested positive for the coronavirus. Contact tracing of the driver is currently ongoing. Most of those infected are asymptomatic.
The entire area has been declared a containment zone by the district administration.
