Shillong, May 10: Members of the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) today apprehended 20 drug addicts and peddlers during a raid at the MUDA parking lot at Khyndai Lad here.
Among those apprehended, 16 are males and four are females.
Drugs, cannabis and syringes seized from the apprehended persons were destroyed by the HYC members.
It may be mentioned that the HYC has launched a number of raids against drug peddling and substance abuse in a number of places in the city.
