Police from the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) arrested two women from Manipur who had 454.32g of heroin in their possession.
The ANTF had been conducting regular road checks near Madanrting police station in the early hours of today when they stopped a tourist vehicle in which the two suspects were travelling.
The two were identified as Tinkhonei Haokip (37) and Mongkim Haokip (53), both residents of New Keithelmanbi village in the Senapati district of Manipur.
Both women were arrested and an investigation is ongoing under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
