East Khasi Hills Anti-Narcotic Task Force arrested two drug traffickers from Umpling last night.
The two have been identified as 24-year old Wantei Manbha Lyngdoh and 29-year old Freddy Bantei Dhar.
Police said 1.13 grams of heroin, 417 empty vials, and 39 unused syringes were seized from the possession, as well as two mobile phones and a Tata Intra pick up bearing registration number ML05 Z 9479.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Rynjah police station.
