The Mawkyrwat District Cycling Association (MDCA) hosted a send-off function for Maitshaphrang Kharwanniang, who will compete at the Union Cyclist International (UCI) Mountain Biking (MTB) Eliminator World Cup, 2022 which will be held in Ladakh on September 4
25-year old Kharwanniang was also a silver medallist at the XCO Cross Country Men Elite during the recently concluded 4th Meghalaya Games, 2022. He is the youngest son of Dweinsy Kharwanniang from Keniong village but has now settled in Mawkyrwat.
MDCA president, Ambrose Thongni also wished the best to Kevin John Khyllait, a gold medallist at the 4th Meghalaya Games, who was also selected for the same event.
