Two persons have been arrested after allegedly stealing a car from Rilang village in South West Khasi Hills, police said today.
The accused, Ardison R. Marak (25) of Bagli and Alias Raning D. Shira (25) of Mawpyllun, had stolen a Maruti S-presso on Wednesday at around 12 am.
After the owner of the car, Fulmark Kharsaw Lyngdoh, lodged a missing complaint at the Ranikor police station, a police team conducted an investigation.
Police said the vehicle was traced to South Garo Hills district on Thursday evening.
With the help of staff of Rongra police station and CI Baghmara, the vehicle was detected and the accused were arrested.
