Shillong, Feb 15: The police have issued two notifications regarding bodies that are awaiting claim by family.
One Lasting Marak, son of the late Jameson Sangma, died on February 11 at Shillong Civil Hospital where he had been undergoing treatment. He was reported as being homeless.
The 31-year-old was approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, with a dark complexion and medium build. Relatives or acquaintances may identify the deceased at the Shillong Civil Hospital morgue and phone Sadar Police Station (03642224400) or the Police Control Room Shillong (03642222214/15).
The other deceased person was unidentified. He was found dead at the Mahdev Khola complex in Shillong on February 13. He was approximately 60-65 years old, around 5 feet 3 inches tall, with a swarthy complexion, thin build and facial hair. He was wearing a brown leather jacket and black track pants when found.
