Two suspected illegal migrants from Bangladesh were detained by the Border Security Force (BSF) on the Mawlai Bypass on Tuesday.
In a release today, the BSF said that its intelligence branch had received specific information, leading to the operational team intercepting the target vehicle on the bypass.
Subsequent verification revealed that two Bangladeshi nationals were being facilitated by two Indian touts in an attempt to illegally cross into Bangladesh. All four individuals were detained for interrogation and further legal proceedings. Their names were not provided in the release.
