The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills police arrested two men on Saturday on suspicion of attempting to traffic narcotics.
The men are aged 29 and 30; their identities, however, were not revealed. They were arrested by police from the Iewduh area along GS Road.
Police recovered 41.85 grammes of heroin from the pair, along with eight vials, one mobile phone and one ATM card.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered against the duo.
