A horrifying incident has shocked the public of Ri-Bhoi after a 19-yea-old woman was allegedly murdered in broad daylight by her romantic partner.
The murder occurred today at Pahamsyiem village when the woman was found lying dead in the road. Superintendent of Police Giri Prasad said that the incident was reported to the police by a Pahamsyiem village elder.
A swift response by the police, who were aided by locals, saw the authorities arrest the prime suspect, who was involved romantically with the teenager for the past five months.
