Six officers and nine personnel of the Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home Guards were awarded Commendation Disc and Certificate by Director General Civil Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs on the eve of 61st Raising Day of Civil Defence and Home Guards.
The DGCD Gold Disc awardees are M K Sangma, Joint Director of Civil Defence, RP Khongwar, Joint Commandant General of Home Guards, B Mukhim, Senior Staff Officer and B Kharkongor, Commandant, Central Training Institute.
The Silver Disc awardees are Paul H Shylla, Divisional Commandant of Home Guards and G Kharumnuid, Junior Staff Officer.
Nine other personnel including ministerial and uniformed personnel were awarded the Bronze Disc.
Altogether 225 Commendation Disc and Certificate were awarded by the ministry.
