The 119 Territorial Army organised a 40-strong motorcycle rally today from Kenches Trace here to Sohra and back as part of their Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
This event showcased not only the coordination and discipline of the Territorial Army but also their commitment to community engagement and adventure.
Starting early in the morning from Kenches Trace, the riders navigated through picturesque landscapes before reaching the scenic destination of Sohra. The return journey was equally exhilarating, concluding with a grand reception back at Kenches Trace.
The event aimed to foster camaraderie among the participants, promote the spirit of adventure and demonstrate the operational capabilities of the Territorial Army. It also served as a platform for interaction with local communities and reinforcing the bond between the army and the public.
Colonel Devashis Nailk, the Commanding Officer of 119 Territorial Army expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters. “The rally was a testament to the skill and dedication of our Territorial Army personnel. We are proud of their performance and pleased with the community engagement that this event has fostered,” he said in a release.
