Shillong, Mar 2: Eleven-year-old Shelevah N. Jyrwa from Laimer, Upper Shillong, was crowned the winner of Sur Kynud Season 4 during the grand finale held on Thursday evening at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
The grand finale was organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television (DBMNTV). A total of eight young contestants reached the final round, competing for the top prize of ₹1 lakh.
Since the inception of the competition, DBMNTV, through specially appointed coaches including Lapdiang and Kheiñkor, has provided systematic training to nurture and develop the musical talents of participating youth.
During the event, the Cecilia Memorial Award was presented to Br. Sniawshngain Papang, while the DBMNTV Youth Icon Award 2025 was conferred on Herbert Kharkongor, Superintendent of Police, West Khasi Hills.
As in previous years, the winners of the tournament will also be given opportunities to participate in major national and international competitions.
