Eleven Meghalaya kickboxers have travelled to Siliguri for the Kickboxing India League Pro Open Nationals from March 17 to 19 under the aegis of the WAKO India Kickboxing Federation.
The four female and seven male fighters are from the Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association and the contingent is being led by the association’s general secretary Fourwell Khongmalai and coach Bantiplang Khongwir.
The state kickboxers are Careen Judy Kharkamni (- 52kg Full Contact), Indahun Iawphniaw (-48kg Low Kick), Ibankyntiew Iangrai (-48kg Low Kick), Daniella I Wanda Mylliemngap (-60kg in K1 Rules), Winningstar L Nonglait (-48kg in Low Kick), Raymond Jyrwa (-48kg Low Kick), Shanlang Khongsit (-51kg Low Kick), Shailesster Mylliem (-51kg Low Kick), Obadaiah Kelphung (-54kg Full Contact), Fedrick Khongsit (-54kg Full Contact), Juh Pa U Juh Nongtdu (-60kg in K1 Rules).
