Police informed today that a man, identified as Mukta Der Rehman, was arrested today in Nongstoin while in possession of illegal drugs worth around Rs 2.7 crore.
Acting on intelligence inputs, police checking was initiated at Urkaliar junction, resulting in the arrest of the suspect, who is a resident of Phulbari Shyamding, while he was travelling in a vehicle bearing registration number ML 05 J 3839.
Forty-five packets of suspected Yaba tablets (a mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine) were seized.
